trip to China!

I don't think that y'all carried this one (I know I entered once submitting the required "essay" - which was not judged, but required anyway) but I had to let you know that I won a trip to China from Nissan's "Project Future Star: to the Moon and Beyond." I'm still awaiting more details. It is a trip/2 to my choice of city in China. Woo-hoo!

I just found out it does NOT include hotel in China. Airfare to layover city in states, one night hotel in layover city in states, airfare to China, airfare back, one night hotel again in states in layover city, airfare home. PLus $150 spending money and use of travel agent. Still - I greatly look forward to this!

On Monday, HelloWorld contacted me to say that the sponsor, Nissan, was offering a CASH substitute for the trip. Yep, that's right, the FULL $7275! Yes, I'm taking the cash. If it works out later, we could go to China on our own, and OUR trip would INCLUDE hotel!
